Cityhall Rotterdam

2015, Pen and Watercolors, 30 x 20 cm Promotional gift Municipality of Rotterdam

genre : Advertising

technique: Pen & Ink, Watercolor

Born and raised in The Hague, I virtually grew up in the Haagse Stripshop, a comic book store in the Old Centre. I learned to draw by imitating artists like Eric Scheurs, Toon van Driel, Marnix Rueb and Hans Kresse, gradually developing my own style. I'm inspired by work of Quentin Blake, Hergé, Jan Kruis and Richard Scarry. I studied Design & Illustration and started my career as an art director in advertising. For many clients I also used my skills as an illustrator. In 2006 I started my own creative agency, again combining graphic design and illustration. I specialize in advertising illustration, poster design, food illustration, city portraits, infographics, visualization and I love to do murals when a project comes along!
